Marketing these days requires a brand consistently applied to all social media avenues. Business cards used to be enough, but not now. For the indie writer a recognizable brand is essential. You want people who find you on Twitter to recognize you on Facebook, your blog, your website, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, and a communication tool such as MailChimp.
Unfortunately, each of these social media venues has a different size masthead, puts your profile image in different locations, and resizes the masthead based on whether the user is viewing on a computer, a mobile device or a television. Yet it is still important to have a recognizable brand.
